Eliza Gilkyson wrote "Peace in Our Hearts" as a unifying call for courage, action and determination during this critical election year, a new singalong in the folk tradition. Produced by Eliza's son and video/record producer Cisco Ryder Gilliland, the video features a host of musicians and singers as well as cameos by the great gospel singer Pastor Sam Butler (5 Blind Boys of Alabama), with his daughters Shamara and Samia Butler singing backup, along with the venerable folksinger Cris Williamson and members of the WEWIM choir of Austin (Betty Soo, Charlie Faye (with baby Edie), Akina Adderley and Bella Rosa Castillo (Eliza's grandaughter). Member's of Eliza's Austin based band include Chris Maresh ( Eric Johnson) on bass, Bukka Allen (Terry Allen) on Wurlitzer, Mike Hardwick (Jon Dee Graham, Will Sexton) on slide guitar and Cisco Ryder Gilliland (Eliza Gilkyson, Ray Bonneville, Ice Cold Singles) on drums.
